One of the mixed blessings of my job is the amount of travel I do. Here you get to see one of the benefits. The pictures here have all been taken while traveling for business... though I may have tacked on an extra vacation day if it was somewhere really special.

  • Israel was an eye opener, which these photographs don’t really convey. I had an interesting Taxi tour and also met up with my nephew there.
  • The quick tour of the Frank Lloyd Wright Studio in Arizona was quite fun. This is one of the few times I’ve been able to have Karen travel with me for a combined business/pleasure trip
  • Las Vegas, San Diego and California were all quick business trips with just a quick stroll after dinner for pictures
  • The Grand Canyon pictures were taken on one afternoon between meetings in Phoenix, if you look close you might see the smoke from a forest fire off in the distance
  • Thailand was the site of an ISO meeting and was a different world. From beautiful buildings to a bustling city it was quite exciting. My only regret, not scheduling any personal time to do real sightseeing.
  • Photokina, Old Town SanDiego, Miami and the Toledo Zoo were all short trips tied to tradeshows
  • Florence was an amazing trip. We has an OEM team meeting here and spent an extra day doing some sight seeing.
  • Corsica was the site of a team meeting. Truly a wonderful opportunity to isolate ourselves and hunker down as a team. Even though it was off-season the island still had a number of charms
  • Paris was a vacation stop-over after our meeting in Corsica. It was less than 48 hours but Paris is always fun.
  • The Apache Trail was slotted in between two different meetings in Arizona. With one afternoon free I decided to “hit the trail”
  • Sedona was a stolen afternoon after a tradeshow and before the “red eye” flight home
  • Fort Worth was the US site for an ISO meeting.
  • Ray spent 9 days in China most of the time was meetings but there was some time for sightseeing as well
  • Who knew Israel was a land of beaches
  • Brazil was the site of another ISO meeting
  • Paris was the site of our twice annual OEM team meeting - it’s hard to believe but it was the inexpensive destination for this internationally diverse team.
  • 2011 brought two trips to Berlin for ISO meetings as well as customer meetings in Las Vegas, Barcelona and Phoenix.
  • The OEM team met twice in 2011 a snowed in event outside of Boston at the beginning of the year and late summer meeting in Amsterdam
  • In 2012 I took my first trip to Indonesia as part of an ISO meeting. I stopped off in Hong Kong to make the travel a little more bearable. The OEM team had a meeting in Las Vegas and took an aerial tour of the Grand Canyon.
  • 2013 brought some quick trips to Vienna, Phoenix, San Francisco, Chicago and China.
  • 2014 there was a trip to London with for ISO standards meetings where my friend Dave McDowell was honored for his roll in ISO (where I will try to fill his vacancy for the US). In addition there were trips to New York and to China for ISO where I first acted as Chairman of the USTAG.
  • 2015 brought trips to Japan, Italy, South Korea and various stops around the US. A busy year for travel, many of which were new places for me.
